Newark - Gloria Jean Bixby, 68, entered eternity on Wednesday (November 14, 2012) at her home with family and friends by her side.
Family and friends may call Friday (Nov. 16) from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Norman L. Waterman Funeral Home, Inc., 124 W. Miller St, Newark. All other services will be private. Burial in Riverview Cemetery.

Gloria was born the daughter of the late Dayton and Christina (King) Newcomb on Friday, August 11, 1944 in Newark, N.Y. She graduated from Newark High School the class of 1963. Gloria was a member of the Phelps American Legion Auxiliary and past member of the Palmyra Moose Lodge where she had held many offices. She enjoyed playing bingo, camping and spending time with her grandchildren.
She worked for Garlock Corp. in Palmyra for many years, and she and her husband delivered the newspapers in the Newark area for 10 years.
Gloria will be remembered by her loving husband Paul E. Bixby; sons, Matthew Rayno and Aaron Rayno; stepson, Kevin Bixby; stepdaughter, Tina (John) DeVey; grandchildren, Colton, Kayla, Ciera, Isaac, Jacob and Max; a very special great-grandson, Kyle; brother, Clark (Linda) Newcomb; sisters, Barbara Bartoletti and Elizabeth (Merle) Nye; many nieces and nephews; special friend, Stephanie Kidman; and light of her life Katelyn.
Gloria was predeceased by her brother, Richard Newcomb, and brother-in-law, Sam Bartoletti.
