ROMULUS - Millicent A. "Milly" Humulock, in her 87th year, passed away peacefully on (November 14, 2012) at her home surrounded by her loving family, located at 2930 Vineyard Rd, Romulus, N.Y.
On Saturday (December 1), there will be a calling hour at Holy Cross Church for an opportunity to offer prayers from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. During this period, the Altar Rosary Society will recite the Rosary. Those who wish, please join the recitation of the Rosary. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., by Father Bart Minson, OFM Capuchin. The Holy Cross Church is located at 7231 Main Street, in Ovid. After Mass, there will be a gathering to celebrate the life of Milly in the Parish Meeting Hall, located next to the church. The Altar Rosary Society of the Holy Cross Church will host the gathering.

Born on March 27, 1925 in Champaign, Illinois, Milly was the eldest of two daughters of the late Milton and Eula Mae (Hale) Patterson. She met Alexander, in September 1951, they were married on December 27, 1951, at the time he was attending the USAF Aircraft Maintenance Officer School at the nearby Chanute Air Force Base.
Milly travelled with Alex on various military assignments, first in France, where they honeymooned in Paris. Their first child, a son, was born in Chateauroux. Next assignment was Larson, AFB, Washington State, followed by Wright-Patterson, AFB, Ohio, and lastly, the Pentagon in Washington, D.C. While in nearby Maryland, Milly, after the children "left the nest" worked as an administrative assistant for 19 years on Andrews Air Force Base, prior to her retirement.
Throughout her life, Milly was an active thespian participating in plays in the various cities in which she resided, i.e., high school, college, and her husband's military assignments. Upon moving to Romulus, Milly, was an active member of the Holy Cross Church and served as a Eucharistic Minister and Lector, was a member of the Altar Rosary Society, and the Romulus Historical Society. She enjoyed sewing and was a master cake maker. Most of all, Milly cherished and deeply loved her entire family, a family that reciprocated her love.
Milly is survived by her loving family, her husband of 61 years, Lt. Col. Alexander Humulock, Jr., USAF Retired; six children, Alexander A. (Michelle) Humulock III of Memphis, Tenn., Richard P. (Joan) Humulock of Mechanicsville, Md., Rebecca B. (Bob) Stallings of Baden, Md., Stephanie T. (Rick) Lewis of Richmondville, N.Y., Christopher P. (Kim) Humulock of Narragansett, R.I., and Andrew M. (Michelle) Humulock of Grays Lake, Ill. There are 17 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Milly was preceded in death by her younger sister, Barbara (Patterson) Bellinger.
