OVID - Connie E. Jewett, age 78, died on Monday (November 26, 2012) at Geneva General Hospital, following an extended stay at Seneca Nursing & Rehab Center in Waterloo.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday (November 30) at the Varick United Methodist Church on Ernsberger Road, officiated by Rev. Barbara De'Angelis.

Connie was born on July 2, 1934 in Owego, N.Y., a daughter of the late Claude and Dorothy (Smith) Eccleston. She and her husband had lived in Hayts Corners for nearly 30 years, and retired to Verona Village in Ovid. She worked as a cook for Seneca County Home Delivered Meals for more than 17 years, prior to her retirement. Connie was also an active member of the American Legion Post #463 Ladies Auxiliary, serving as chaplain.
She is survived by her children, Glenn "Bob" (Audrey) Fields of Port St. Lucie, Fla., Julie (Howard) Lincoln of Waterloo, and Bonnie (Jack) Langley of Ovid, six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; her stepchildren, William (Vanessa) Jewett of Breesport, N.Y., Janet Jordan of Newark Valley, N.Y., Charles (Marlene) Jewett of Concord, N.C. and their families; and her sisters, Louise, Barbara, Carol and Marie.
Connie was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard in 2004.
