Newark/Canandaigua - Mary Jean Lyke, (nee Fogarty), a long time resident of Newark, N.Y., who lived in Tucson and then, Canandaigua, completed her life's journey on (January 4, 2013).
Friends may call on Monday (January 7) from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Paul L. Murphy and Sons Funeral Home, 127 East Miller St, Newark, NY 14513. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. on Tuesday (Jan. 8).

She leaves behind her three daughters, Cynthia (John), Pamela (Steve), and Margaret (Jay); grandchildren, John, Kaitlin, Tina and Olga; and eight great-grandchildren.
Mary Jean also leaves behind many friends from when she lived and worked in Newark including Pam's Place and several local pubs. She will also be missed by her many friends at 80 Parrish Street, in Canandaigua. She will be remembered for her warm and caring nature, her strength and determination, her loyalty to the Buffalo Bills and the Yankees, and her hand- made gifts of love..
She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl.
