AUBURN | Mr. Robert A. Botticelli, 82, of Barrington Way, Auburn and formerly of Norwalk, Conn., died on Sunday, Jan. 20, 2013, at his home following a long illness. Mr. Botticelli had been an engineer for many years at United Technologies in Norwalk, prior to his retirement in 1989. He had been a member of the Norwalk Exchange Club and as an art hobbyist he enjoyed painting, especially in water color. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Connie Botticelli, of Auburn; his daughter, Lauren L. Botticelli (Kevin J. Burton), of Owasco and several nieces and nephews. Along with his parents, Michael and Maria Rapesta Botticelli, he was predeceased by his brother, Charles. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 25, 2013, in St. Alphonsus Church, E. Genesse Street, Auburn. Entombment will be in St. Joseph Mausoleum, Fleming. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Finger Lakes SPCA of CNY, 41 York St., Auburn, NY 13021, in memory of Mr. Boticelli. Arrangements are by Farrell's Funeral Service, Inc., 84 South St., Auburn.
