CAYUGA | Ida Wild Becker, 89, of 6375 Willard St., Cayuga, the wife of the late John W. Becker, died Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2013 at home. Born in Auburn, Ida was the last of 13 children of John and Ida Setzer Wild to pass away. Until her retirement, she had been employed for 40 years at the Auburn Button Works and was a member of the Redeemer Lutheran Church in Auburn. She was an avid bowler and was a past member of the Moose Club and the Polish Falcons. She is survived by one son, John C. Becker (Geraldine), of Owasco; three daughters, Clarissa R. Sabin, of North Syracuse, Linda M. Gleason, of Auburn and Norma Belknap (Paul), of Montezuma; 45 grand, great, and great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; as well as Walter K. Wallace Jr., beloved as a second son. Calling hours will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 2, in the Cheche Funeral Home Inc, 1778 Clark Street Road, Auburn. A service will immediately follow calling hours at 7 p.m. in the funeral home. Burial in Soule Cemetery will be at the convenience of the family. Contributions may be made in memory of Ida to the Cayuga Village VFD, Redeemer Lutheran Church of Auburn or Hospice of the Finger Lakes.
