NEWARK | John Thomas Sage, 65, formerly of Northbrook Heights, died Jan. 30, 2013, at Newark Manor, Newark. John was born to the late Leland and Katherine Wilbur Sage, on July 1, 1947, in Auburn. He was employed by Dunn & McCarthy and in 1997, retired from the Mutual Candy Co. John was a communicant of St. Alphonsus Church. He is survived by two aunts, Alice June Sage and Mary Sage Hines, and several cousins. Following John's wishes, there will be no calling hours. A Mass Christian burial will be celebrated at 9 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 2, at St. Alphonsus Church Auburn. Burial will be at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Fleming. Arrangements are with White Chapel Funeral Home Inc., Auburn.
