Waterloo - Sherrill ""Sherry"" Larzelere McGill, 67, of 32 E. William St., died Wednesday (January 30, 2013) at Geneva General Hospital, with her husband by her side.
In keeping with Sherry's wishes there will be no calling hours. Burial will be at Restvale Cemetery in Seneca Falls at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Beverly Animal Shelter, 50 E. River St., Waterloo, 13165.
Sherry was born Jan. 22, 1946, the daughter of Charles P. and Eloise Spaid Johnson. She was a lifelong resident of Waterloo. She graduated from Waterloo Central School in 1964 and SUNY Brockport with a BA in 1968. Prior to her retirement, she worked for Eisenhower College, working for the College President. After Eisenhower College closed she was employed at Goulds Pumps for many years. Later, she was employed with Lifecare.
She is survived by her husband, Robert L. McGill, Jr., whom she married August 26, 1995; her precious Dachshunds, Daisy and Mischief; cousins, Elaine (Parker) Chapman-Moore, Doris (Gary) Chapman Lent, and Michael T. (Helene) Maher, Judy Maher Saladini, and Marilyn (Jim) Chapman Hider, Susan Hennessey Beattie, Gary (Donna) Spaid and Nancy (Jerry) Cowan. She was loved dearly by many close and special friends.
She was predeceased by parents, several aunts and uncles; cousin, Thomas Hennessey; and her beloved dogs, Sally, Mike, and Cookie.
