James Lynch

James Lynch passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, March 12, 2013.
Friends and family are invited to call on Friday, March 15th from 4-7pm at Mull Funeral Home, 113 Virginia Street, Waterloo. A military service will follow the calling hours, 7, at the funeral home, conducted by the American Legion, Post 435 and VFW post 6433. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday, March 16th at 11:00 AM at St. Mary’s Church 23 Center StreetWaterloo, NY. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
A life-long member of St. Mary’s Church, contributions may be made to the church.
Jim was born on December 7, 1928 the son of the late, Theodore and Mary (Kelly) Lynch and was a lifelong resident of Waterloo. Jim served in the United States Navy on the USS Adirondack until his honorable discharge in July 1955. Upon returning to Waterloo in 1955, he married Elizabeth Van Tassel. Jim retired from the Seneca Army Depot.
Jim is survived by his wife of fifty-eight years, Betty (Van Tassel) Lynch. In addition he is survived by his daughter, Karen (Victor) Montaglione, son Michael (Nancy) Lynch, daughter Lynda (Peter) Butler, and daughter Sarah (Joseph) VanLiew; eleven grandchildren Valerie (Luke) Parillo, Thomas (Liana) Montaglione, Katherine (Kenneth) Waterson, James Lynch, Patrick Lynch, Bradley (Sarah) Butler, Matthew Butler, Sarah Butler, Kevin, Kyle, and Kelly VanLiew, and two great-grandchildren, Avery Parillo and Michael Waterson.
