Martha (Hagstrom) Wilbur Longtime Canandaigua resident CANANDAIGUA - Martha (Hagstrom) Wilbur, age 90, passed away on Wednesday, March 13, 2013, at M.M. Ewing Continuing Care Center in Canandaigua. She is survived by her daughter, Karen M. Wilbur (Dorothy Cranshaw); son, James S. Wilbur (Timothy J. McNeill); daughter-in-law, Deborah B. Wilbur; four grandchildren, Alexander Spare, Jenney (David) Gillikin, Rodney S. "Kirk" Wilbur II and Kathryn Wilbur; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Rodney S. "Bud" Wilbur in 1995; two sons, Rodney G. "Tod" Wilbur in 2009 and David A. Wilbur in 1960. Martha and her family moved to Rochester from Ohio, when she was six years old. She was a graduate of West High School in Rochester and a graduate of the Eastman School of Dental Hygiene. Martha, husband and family moved to Canandaigua in 1963. She worked as a dental hygienist for Dr. Westbrook, Dr. McWilliams and Dr. Voci, all in Canandaigua. Martha was a member of First Congregational Church, Canandaigua Country Club, Granger Homestead Society, Ontario County Historical Society and Travelers Club. She formerly served on the board at Clark Manor House. Martha was an avid bridge player. She was instrumental in developing a recreation program at Ontario County Health Facility. Her memorial service will be held today (Friday) at 11 a.m. at First Congregational Church, 58 N. Main St., Canandaigua. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Canandaigua.
