Phelps - Myrtle E. Snell, age 95, died on Wednesday (March 13, 2013) at the Clifton Springs Hospital & Clinic.
Friends may call on Monday from 10:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Landmark Freewill Baptist Church 2143 State Rt. 96 Clifton Springs. Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Oaklawn Cemetery in Oaks Corners.
It is suggested that memorial donations be made to the Freewill Baptist Church 2143 State Rt. 96 Clifton Springs, New York 14432.
Mrs. Snell was born on July 12, 1917 in Gorham, N.Y. the daughter of the late Francis and Bessie DeLand English. As a child she attended Church at the Salvation Army in Geneva. She has attended Freewill Baptist Church with her husband Edward for many years. Mrs. Snell was a christian woman. She stayed at home and was a caretaker. She had a love for taking care of children and was a licensed daycare provider for Monroe County for over 10 years.
She is survived by her children, Donald (Louise) Springer of Phelps, Robert (Loretta) Springer of Phelps, Sharon Howey of Rochester, N.Y.; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren, one nephew.
Mrs. Snell was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Edward Snell; brother; Floyd English, and grandsons, Steve and Rusty.
Funeral arrangements have been made with Cheney Funeral Home 70 Main Street Phelps.
