According to the New York State DEC’s HAB map, six blooms have been confirmed so far in October on the lake. The blooms span the length of the lake but are mostly present on the eastern side of the lake.

The parts of Cayuga and Skaneateles lakes controlled by Cayuga County have not had any HABs confirmed, according to the map.
