August Sees Fewest Overdoses So Far this Year

There were nine suspected overdoses in Cayuga County last month and none of them were fatal.

That’s according to Cayuga County’s overdose dashboard, which reports 77.8% of them occurred in the City of Auburn. 1/3 of August’s suspected overdoses are thought to have involved opioids and Narcan was administered.

With only nine overdoses, August has seen the fewest number of overdoses so far this year. On the opposite side, July so the most with 22, none of which were fatal.
