Public safety and community projects are listed on the agenda for the next Geneva City Council meeting. Assistant City Manager Taylor Youngs said one topic of discussion will center around the Memorial Lakefront bench program, which started in 2009.
“Families, residents, folks can look to pay to have a bench dedicated in somebody’s memory,” said Youngs on FLX Morning on Finger Lakes News Radio. “So we’re taking a look at that program, identifying the opportunities for whether it be additional benches or improving the benches that we currently have while maintaining, you know, a beautiful and open lakefront.”
Also at Wednesday’s meeting, City Councilors will review pedestrian safety improvements, including additional signage and lighting, as part of ongoing public safety efforts. The meeting’s full agenda can be found here.
