The Dryden Fire Department responded to a reported furnace fire in a single-story home Sunday morning around 7:30. Dryden Police confirmed an active structure fire, prompting Fire Chief Tyler to call a second-alarm response.
Firefighters found flames in the basement and quickly suppressed the fire. Searches confirmed all residents had safely exited, and no injuries were reported.
Mutual aid came from multiple local departments, including Freeville, Groton, Lansing, and Cortlandville, while police and code enforcement also assisted.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
