Joseph Hadden

Joseph P. Hadden, 69, was born on January 25, 1957, and passed away unexpectedly on February 3, 2026, surrounded by the love of those who knew him best. He will be remembered for his quick wit, his strong work ethic, and his natural ability to make others laugh. A proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps, Joseph carried that honor with him throughout his life.

Joseph built a long and dedicated career, retiring from Goulds Pumps Inc. after 25 years of service and most recently from NYSEG after 17½ years. His commitment to hard work was evident in everything he did.

He was a devoted sports fan who rarely missed a game, having played several sports throughout high school and later in adult leagues. He followed politics with genuine passion and found comfort in the old westerns he loved so much. He had a soft spot for fellow veterans and never hesitated to give to those in need, always wanting to support others. Above all, family was the center of his world. His children were his greatest pride, and he loved his wife, Vickie, fiercely and without hesitation.

Joseph is survived by his wife of nearly 47 years, Vickie; his son, Ryan; and his daughter, Lisa, and her husband, Michael, with whom he shared countless memories. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Kali (AJ), Ivory, Cameron, Sarah, Reagan, Ella, Rachel, Alex, Gabrielle, Joseph, Gianna, Amelia, Michael, Violet, and Lily, each of whom brought him immense joy. His loyal dog, Lulu, was always by his side and held a special place in his heart.

He is further survived by his siblings, Thomas Hadden and his spouse David; David Hadden, whose wife Brenda preceded him in death; and his sister Mary Beth Beniamino, whose husband Tom is also deceased. He is remembered with affection by his step siblings Michelle, Robin, Joy, Mark, Allan, Ricky (Pam), and by Holly and David, who preceded him in death. He was cherished as well by his in laws Jesse Lee and his wife Joyce, Benjamin Lee and his partner Patty, and Mary Ann Betts and her spouse Dennis. Several nieces and nephews also survive him and loved him dearly.

Joseph was predeceased by his mother, Ruth Tauterouff, and his father, Allan Tauterouff.

Calling hours will be held Wednesday, February 11, from 4 p.m.–7 p.m. at Baris Funeral Home in Clyde, N.Y. A funeral Mass will take place Thursday, February 12, at 11 a.m. at St. John the Evangelist in Clyde, N.Y. Interment will follow in St. John Catholic Cemetery in Clyde, N.Y., with a military send off honoring his service.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, the Wayne County Humane Society, or the Tunnel to Towers Foundation.
