Mary Ann Rentschler, 82, of Montour Falls, passed away Friday, February 20, 2026.

Born June 18, 1943, in Brooklyn, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Ursula (Fazio) Koloski. She graduated from PS 18 High School and later built a career serving others as an activities aide at Seneca View Skilled Nursing Facility in Montour Falls.

Mary Ann was a member of the Montour Moose Lodge and found joy in gardening, cooking, and traveling.

She was predeceased by her husband of 42 years, Michael A. Rentschler; her sister, Helene Koloski; and her brother, Michael Koloski.

She is survived by her three children, Mary Kay (James) Cilley, Suzanne Blake, and Michael G. (Sue) Rentschler; her grandchildren, William Morgan, Jeffrey Morgan, Christopher Welch, Robert (Yvonne) Blake, Joseph Blake, Thomas (Kelsey) Blake, Brian (Courtney) Rentschler, and Timothy (Paige) Rentschler; as well as 11 great-grandchildren.

The family extends its sincere thanks to the staff at Schuyler Hospital for the kindness and care provided to Mary Ann.

A private burial will take place in the spring at Holy Cross Cemetery.
