An 18-year-old Buffalo resident was arrested on Tuesday following an investigation into weapons possession by the Community Stabilization Unit and Troop A Violent Gang and Narcotics Enforcement Team.
The suspect, who was not identified, faces two counts of third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, both Class D felonies, and seven counts of fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon, all misdemeanors.
Authorities say the arrests followed the execution of multiple search warrants at two Buffalo locations. Officers, with assistance from the Buffalo Police Department, Niagara Falls Police Department, and Homeland Security Investigations, seized a 3D printer and filament, six firearm lowers, two extended magazines, an upper slide, and trigger mechanisms.
The suspect was processed at the New York State Police Buffalo barracks before being transported to the Buffalo Police lockup for centralized arraignment.
